Birth Preparation classes (a la carte or bundle them!)
Preparing for birth is about more than just labor - it’s about knowing what to expect, both physically and emotionally. My birth preparation classes cover everything you and your partner need to feel ready for delivery and postpartum recovery. Recommended to take these classes prior to 35 weeks gestation.
Signature Pushing Prep Class
-
Together, let's reduce the degree of perineal tearing, decrease your risk for postpartum prolapse and shorten length of labor!
-
During this class, you will have your pushing strategies assessed by a PT and discover multiple techniques to improve efficiency and confidence in pushing with your pelvic floor in mind. One size does not fit all - you will learn open glottis and closed glottis pushing in order to have various skillsets to lean into, when the time comes.
-
You will learn a hands-on approach to perineal massage. Instruction on pain management techniques helpful whether you plan for an epidural or natural childbirth.
Optimal Birthing Positions Prep Class
-
You and your partner will learn stretches and mobility movements to perform starting in early labor. Movement during this time can shorten labor and improve postpartum recovery.
-
Partner will learn hands on techniques to help manage labor pains.
-
We will also discuss various options for pushing positions… you do not need to push on your back!
Doula Services
As a physical therapist with a deep understanding of the body’s mechanics, I bring a unique perspective to my role as a birth doula. My approach is centered on using evidence-based techniques to support your comfort and mobility throughout labor, including optimal positioning, movement strategies, and pain relief methods tailored to your needs. Beyond hands-on care, I’m here as a supportive presence, helping you navigate each stage of birth with encouragement, practical guidance, and a focus on empowering you to feel strong, informed, and confident in your body’s abilities.
Due to my commitment to providing a comprehensive approach to services, I am limited to serving 8 births per year. Inquire here if you are interested in hiring me as your doula or if you would like more information on the support I provide.
